Wednesday, May 21st, 2014Meryl Richards, 71 years of age, had six previous hip replacements that left her pelvis so weak that her leg punched a hole through the bone. She was unable to walk without severe pain.
Now in groundbreaking surgery at Southampton General Hospital, Meryl has just received a tailor-made hip socket that was made from titanium using a 3D printed copy so it met her exact specifications and measurements.
